Food Security Programme

Soil to Solutions: Empowering Generation

SAAYC’s Food Security Programme is a hands-on training and mentorship initiative focused on sustainable agriculture, community nutrition, and local food production. The program is designed to tackle hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity by equipping youth with the tools and knowledge needed to implement grassroots solutions in their communities.

Through practical workshops, mentorship, and community-driven projects, participants develop skills in food production, project implementation, and food justice. This program empowers young people to lead and transform their communities through food security initiatives, promoting environmental sustainability and contributing to local food systems. The outcome is informed, skilled, and empowered youth actively addressing food insecurity and improving livelihoods across South Africa.
